I was in a lot of pain prior to surgery and my shoulder dislocated frequently. Now I'm able to dive, swim and do any type of activity with no pain or limitation. I think Dr. Noerdlinger did an incredibly good job, he's extremely personable, the surgery went well and I've had no trouble since. I would recommend him highly to anyone.
Instability and Labral Repair

Diane Attenborough of Newfields, NH 18 months after a SLAP repair
Before my surgery I was a steady 4-5/10 in pain. I went into surgery with decreased pain due to an injection but going in due to decrease in function. Surgery and rehab was exactly what Dr. Noerdlinger said, 8-12 months. I was telling myself I could return earlier but that wasn't the case. The only post-op pain I had was one night. I was in Europe one-week after having my sutures removed and just having to wear a sling. The most pain I experienced through this was with Physical Therapy and the ROM exercises. I returned to work, modified duty, after 6 weeks, teaching pilates with restrictions after 2 weeks and full-duty at work at 16 weeks. The part I want to pass along regarding Dr. Noerdlinger is that he paid attention to detail. I had 4 small issues with my shoulder, with the copy of the Operation Report he provides to his patients, it states very clearly what he addressed. I had a colleague attend my surgery who said Dr. Noerdlinger was very focused throughout.

Wendy M. Lee of Dover, NH eight years after a right shoulder stabilization for recurrent instability
After the surgery, my shoulder hurt like hell for months, but I worked hard with physical therapy to make sure I got all my range of motion back and now I have full range of motion, full function, and a stable shoulder. It does not bother me at all.

Ben Ellis of York, ME states after a SLAP repair
I'm doing awesome. Over the past year I have had a perfect recovery, including follow-ups with the office. The one part that I appreciated was the way that Dr. Noerdlinger listened to the fact that I was not progressing in physical therapy and was not interested in cortisone injections. Then during my surgery we went in with a diagnosis and then once he was in found what the MRI did not show and fixed the new finding while I was still under. Dr. Noerdlinger is the man to see.
