Seacoast Shoulder
After surgery, all patients are encouraged to pursue formal physical therapy. The therapy minimizes the inflammation and swelling that causes pain. Also, the therapy ensures that the proper range of motion is attained. Patients are provided manual therapy and also supervised exercises that they can continue on their own at home. Included in this section are the physical therapy protocols for many of the shoulder surgeries performed in my practice at SportsMedicine Atlantic Orthopaedics in Portsmouth, NH and York, ME.
