I was not expecting physical therapy and the surgery itself to be as hard and painful to get through. I was in Europe one-week after having my sutures removed and just having to wear a sling. The most pain I experienced through this was with Physical Therapy and the ROM exercises. I returned to work, modified duty, after 6 weeks, teaching pilates with restrictions after 2 weeks and full-duty at work at 16 weeks. The part I want to pass along regarding Dr. Noerdlinger is that he paid attention to detail. I had 4 small issues with my shoulder, with the copy of the Operation Report he provides to his patients, it states very clearly what he addressed. I had a colleague attend my surgery who said Dr. Noerdlinger was very focused throughout.¡± Platelet Rich Plasma Injections Laurel McKenna of Rye, NH. Six months after a rotator cuff repair, her tendon had healed but she required platelet rich plasma injections to eliminate her pain ¡°After surgery I wasn¡¯t happy with my ability to do normal tasks, such as blow drying my hair, even though it was much better than prior to surgery. So I did research regarding Plasma Rich Protein injections, which was very successful with professional athletes, especially with the Pittsburg Steelers. I spoke with the director of the clinic, who actually started this process and presented all the information to Dr. Noerdlinger. Dr. Noerdlinger knew about these injections and was willing to try whatever I felt was necessary to get me back to my best ability. After a series of 5 injections I¡¯m back to playing tennis for 2 hours with out any significant pain.
